There is very little to be gained by actually going through with a merger with this dying club at the high cost of losing existing players and coaches. Why buy the cow when you get the milk for free?
By going forward with the merger, McLean risks alienating all of its existing coaches - and any current players who don’t want to lose their coach. If there are some BRAVE coaches that Mclean likes (yeah, uh…) they will all be available soon.
Kill the merger, post the coaching lineup, and ID session dates ASAP or risk losing current coaches and talent.
Are there any real businesspeople looking at this for McLean?

I think most of you are focus on the impacts of the current teams which is natural since you have skin in the game with current players. Long run, this is a good move. Short term, there will be chaos. I have a player on Brave and we rewatched the Brave vs Union game. Based on my observation as a fan of the game, I can see a blended union and brave team being much stronger next year. That is if the team is built off of Best 20 on the roster and not favorite 20.

And if ECNL was threatening pulling the girls they wanted them shafted worse then they are now?
They may be good coaches but they sound pretty petty. Stick around prove you can take a partnership with Brave and make winning teams. You didn’t prove it with SYC.

This is helping brave but I suspect alot of Brave player looking for new clubs next season. Maybe it will improve some RL teams. As most will not make another ECNL club.
What “inner circle”? Is it like eyes wide shut? There’s a 50% chance your DC will be coached next season by a Brave coach and practicing at Woodson or Robinson. I also suspect a lot of Union players looking for new clubs next season. Maybe McLean rl as most will not make another ecnl club.
