I saw those videos! I felt bad for the kids wearing them because I thought they were wearing old dirty sneakers because they were poor🤣. The only people I see wearing them anymore are some of the mom's in my kid's private school. But it's a very small minority of moms. And I never see them on the street anymore.

They are only "out" in the sense that they are no longer the hot sneaker that trendy people must have. People still wear them, and they re not "out of style" per se. They are a status symbol in the sense that they communicate a kind of conspicuous consumption, similar to the LV Neverfull. But people who are interested in wearing the trendiest of items are not buying Golden Goose anymore.

I have never been a GG fan. I really like the different Rag & Bone sneakers--they have a couple of styles. The retro runner and retro court ones I have and like. The retro court are actually a little more comfortable.

We must have been at the same event, because I noticed the same thing. These shoes are out IMO, but I’ve never been one to care what others think, so more power to them!

This is so deluded. Is this a defense mechanism cope because you don't have a pair? How are they out when you literally say you JUST saw them being worn by all the cool wealthy moms at your kid's school? If they're so out and irrelevant, how did you notice so many cool moms wearing them?

Not on the courts, but happy hours at outdoor restaurant/pool bar, club meetings etc. Definitely see Golden Goose, Veja, Sambas, on trend NB & Nike. Also form what I observe most woman rotate through 3-6 outfits a day. Gym/yoga, court sports, pool, boat, errands/school drop off/casual entertaining in afternoon or morning depending on when doing other activities, and dinner if going to dinner at one of neighborhood restaurants or going out.

I noticed this too, funny enough, also in a wealthy private school social setting with stylish 30 and 40-something mums. They are certainly still in. Only on DCUM are they not, which is likely just spammed by bitter serfs who can't afford them.
