I was wondering if they could claim them as dependents on their taxes.

Yes.

Georgia amended its tax code to provide that pregnant women can claim their babies as dependents for the purposes of state taxes. Plus, if the women miscarry, the miscarried baby still counts for tax purposes as if they had a live child who was a dependent in the year they miscarried.

This is a big issue for men as well as women. You men had better prepare to fight for your rights along side the women.

From the Mayo clinic:

Nearly 1 in 7 couples is infertile, which means they haven't been able to conceive a child even though they've had frequent, unprotected sexual intercourse for a year or longer. In up to half of these couples, male infertility plays at least a partial role.

Good thing we are not governed by the Catholic Church.

But we essentially are by evangelical Christians who share many of the same anti-women beliefs as Catholics. One of the Alabama Supreme Court justices quoted the Bible in his opinion of this ruling which is an enormous red flag. They are ruling by their religious beliefs. What do you think the US Supreme Court will do?

If Trump wins, we should be very worried re IVF, PGD-IVF, IUDs, and other forms of birth control. They’re coming for us. People thought they’d never over rule Roe v Wade. Look at what has changed.

The Catholic Church? I lost all respect for the CC during the HIV/AIDS epidemic when they opposed condom use (because they oppose contraception except for the rhythm method) and promoted "chastity." Never mind, how they protected pedophile priests...

The twin cruelties of denying birth control and their child raping road show is why I despise the Catholic Church, add to that their worsening the HIV/AIDS crisis and their political action and they’re even worse.

I guess denying IVF is why they need to have more White babies for the pipeline or whatever the Handmaiden said.

We will be if republicans get full control of the federal government.

+1

Why are people so willing to pretend the GOP isn’t trying to do this?

Where does this ruling go next? I’m assuming there will be an appeal or does it end here because it’s state?

Unbelievable. Medieval.

The GOP says, “more of this, please!” but what can you expect from a party that enjoys drinking bleach?
