DJO is a throwback to when I was in high school— fewer school issues to deal with as mentioned before. Teachers truly care about the kids, and they make an effort to know them by going to to sports games, theater performances, etc. I think the smaller size of the school (fewer than 1200 kids) gives it a different vibe than the local public schools and certainly also helps the kids feel known.
