What does full membership mean for GA? Is it funding related or are there now official relationships/pathways or am I way off base?

lol. This changes nothing. You think nc courage will be leaving ecnl for ga? Da reincarnation. Unless nwsl clubs actually create a formal academy this is just a way to badge players easier.

You think they won’t?
Every sign indicates they would

What sign are you referring to?

You can argue how much this changes things, but I think it’s naive to say it changes nothing.

Will nc courage want a chance to play with their pro team? Absolutely. They wouldn’t b able to playing ECNL

Correct but this time instead of funneling to the USMNT or USWNT the Acadamies are now funneling to MLS or NWSL clubs.

Which in turn fills the youth national team rosters because the model is more in line with what USSF wants in players. Hence why parents are so upset that the USYNT for the Men's side is full of MLS Next players and not ECNL.

Nah. They are aware of the mistakes they made. They know girls want to play high school.

It's actually different than that NWSL Next will likely still not let Academy players do high school.

What's different this time is that instead of a single funnel into the USWNT there's multiple regional funnels into NWSL Clubs.

NWSL clubs benefit because just like with MLS Next they'll lock down talent before competitors like USL can get involved.

It appears that this is what GA was working towards. To gain membership from US Soccer again. They did it in a short 4 years!

Still trying to dissect on if this is big news or a big moment, why hasn't or what has kept ECNL from doing the same?

Pretty Obvious, US Soccer doesn't like ECNL. Likely because ECNL competes with them in the marketplace.
