I had my twins when I was 29. After they were born (like starting that day) I began growing a half inch wide pure white streak in my hair. I leaned into it. Decided it looked cool and parted my hair so it showed.

+1 Found my first at 17 and I am only around 5% gray now, at 41. It's enough that I notice it now, especially at the temples, but my hairdresser said it's too soon to think about coloring because my hair is thick and that will be a lot of hassle for minimal return (he's the one who gave me the 5% estimate).

Same, I was 47. And like another blond poster, I’ve found only white hairs, no grays, and they are coarser/curlier than my other hair (which is medium curly). A few years later they still aren’t noticeable to anyone else, but I do find them regularly.

Found first hair at about 22. (I'm a light brunette.) By mid 20s, I had enough that I couldn't pretend that they were flukes. I've been coloring my hair since then, but I was probably completely gray by late-40s.
In some ways, it was less traumatic to go gray early, since I never had to associate my gray hair with other signs of aging like menopause or wrinkles.

18, started dying it at 20, irish early grey family history. I was a brunette, stopped dying it at the beginning of the pandemic, now totally grey and 47. But my eyebrows are still dark brown.

Late 30's but once I noticed, I realized there were kind of a lot of them around the crown of my head. I have dark blonde hair so they are harder to spot.

I've got some kind of genetic condition (and my children have it too) where a patch of my hair has been gray for a really long time. I think since I was 8 or 10. I've also got a couple of spots on my body where the skin is completely white so I think it's related. The gray hair never bothered me but people did point it out when I was in Middle School.

17. Started dyeing hair at 19. Now at 52, parts of my hair are entirely silver when my roots come in.

22 but they showed up like once every five years. So I didn't even think of dying until 45. Now every morning I wake up there are 100 more gray hairs.

20s but it was single strand here and there. I'm Asian with dark hair so I was able to spot them pretty easily. Started actually going gray in the mid-thirties, when I had to start coloring my hair to cover it up. Again, with dark hair is was more noticeable.

My 12 yo has had one for years.

My first came in at 47.
