Alright, let's play your game.
Let's pull out our rulers and measure ourselves.
Last year was bad for BRAVE; this year is better. And next year, who knows. But if you are thinking BRAVE should be kicked out because their boys aren't good enough, then I guess UNION and Skyline should also be thrown out and NVA should be put on probation. In fact Union, which is basically just the old McLean ECNL, has been around for years and even picked up players from SYC and they still are not that much better than BRAVE and worse at some age groups.
Arlington and VDA are good clubs; past, present and future. They have a track record of advancing boys to the next level for years.
BRAVE has been around for 1.5 years. They just hired Bill Hamid for a goalie coach, which I’m sure is going to pull in some goalie talent. They are trending upwards in wins and have been steadily improving the quality of their boys play over the last couple of years.
NVA “created a partnership” with Valor and GFR, but this was a bust and basically just picked up a few players at some age groups. Of course, there is the rumor that they are going to MLS Next, which would mean a middle of the road ECNL club becomes a bottom of the table club in MLS Next. Good Luck with that!
As I mentioned before, Union has been around for years as McLean ECNL and their record is basically the same as BRAVE. They tried a partnership with SYC, which fell apart because of the distance between the teams and the fact that Union didn't want to play the SYC players. And now, based on rumors, Union is going to try a partnership with GFR and pick up a player or two that NVA didn’t want. Their future is about the same as it is now, which is the lower end of the table.

Arlington 33 25 18
VDA 32 15 13
NVA 24 23 14
Union 19 33 8
BRAVE 16 44 6
Skyline 15 25 7
Not sure where you're pulling these numbers from. Based on the combined current ECNL standings for all age groups,
Arllngton 25-25-10; 42% winning percentage
VDA 32-24-10; 48% winning percentage
NVA 42-21-13; 55% winning percentage
Union 28-15-15; 48% winning percentage
Brave 22-42-7; 31% winning percentage
Neither set of data is correct, at least for NVA, Arlington, VDA:
NVA: https://public.totalglobalsports.com/public/event/2860/individual-club/4369/9
Arlington: https://public.totalglobalsports.com/public/event/2860/individual-club/525/9
VDA: https://public.totalglobalsports.com/public/event/2860/individual-club/1785/9

NVA 34 27 20; 41.9% Winning
Arlington 40 30 25; 42.1% Winning
VDA 39 18 16; 53.4% Winning
My numbers came from boys conference games pulled from the ECNL app. Your numbers include ECNL Showcase games. I'm comparing apples to apples since the conference games are all against the same competition, with just a few games left within the season. You are including games to outside competition in your numbers, which make your numbers more unreliable. There are backup players getting more than their normal share of playing time for all teams at a Showcase. Showcase games don't count except for players trying to get seen by college coaches. My original numbers are correct. Please stop questioning them and looking for a way to improve your boys team win percentage. At this end point of the 2023-2024 season, this is what they are.
At a big picture academy-level, Arlington and VDA are better and produce wins for their teams. This also attracts more interest from colleges. Based on location, Arlington has to compete for players from Alexandria, SYC, BRAVE, and Union. Therefore, I think they are the superior club.
NVA under-performs based on the size of their academy and their location. They have limited competition from surrounding clubs for high performing boys. They should be matching or surpassing both VDA and Arlington based on their access to number-of and quality of players, but are statistically worse. In fact, I was surprised how mediocre they performed as an academy.
Union, which has been around for years, is a major disappointment on the boys side. Their politics and attitude are too much for many players and parents. They have a high confidence in themselves, but in reality, not that good. If it wasn't for the girls, they may not exist.
BRAVE and Skyline are just starting out. Give them a few years before judging their performance. Both of these clubs are improving, and in a few years will probably surpass Union and make a run at NVA.

So these numbers are for the boys programs?

Really? Go back to flipping hamburgers because your math sucks. And I didn't need to take off my socks to count on my toes either.

Appears that the days where Arlington boys were dominant across all ages are gone.
