We were prevented from doing full IB because it’s not supposed to be a back door in, but that wasn’t a factor in our decision to transfer. This isn’t a big deal because we didn’t get a bus to Yorktown either and it’s actually a shorter walk to WL from my house.
As to the out of boundary folks, I see cars with Maryland plates dropping off in the AM, but I am generous and presume it’s the nanny.

Also interesting that they aren’t offering transfers out of Gunston considering the whole brouhaha over redrawing middle school boundaries
Prioritized MS transfers this year are students zoned for TJ and Swanson. Gunston must be behind those in crowding.
Gunston enrollment went down after finding almost 100 non-residents.
That is shocking. I hope they were charged tuition even if it’s after the fact.
I am convinced there are thousands of students attending APS that do not live within boundaries. It's been a huge problem for years and years.
