This is astonishing. Incarcerating dangerous people did not use to be controversial. Especially people with no legal right to be here. It is fundamental to a stable society.

I've lived in Bethesda for many years. Even 5 years ago, we didn't have stuff like this going on. No mass retail thefts, no armed carjackings, and the only murder was the Lululemon murder which was between employees, not random people.

This is one reason we moved private, despite paying to be in a "W" school zone. After watching many BOE meetings online, I realized they were pretty much useless at their job of oversight. It was just rubber stamp whatever MCPS sends them, and never ask difficult questions.
