6’1 still is sometimes common enough in certain settings whereas 2-3” more and suddenly it’s exponentially more rare

I’m a man shorter than your son and didn’t have my first kiss until my early 20’s. I had low confidence in my teenage/college years but in hindsight there were definitely women interested in me.

Height is only one trait. If he is good in every other category, I’m sure he will be fine.

While there are unattractive short men, you can also be tall and unattractive. My friend is married to a guy who is 5’6”. He is good looking, smart, fit and extremely competent. You would never even notice his height.

My 5'6" son is only 15, but he has already had more girlfriends than his 2 older brothers. And, at this stage in life, he is the least good-looking of the bunch. I have no doubt that he will find love.

OP here —honestly there very well might not be an issue. He hasn’t said anything. You just hear about a preference for taller men. I’m glad to hear that it really isn’t a problem. I’d be surprised if he’s gay because of conversations we’ve had including if a friend came out to them to be sure they knew our house would always be a safe place and he has a gay cousin so he knows it’s not an issue with extended family either. Of course he could just not be out to us.
