That’s not true. Typically about 30-40 kids go each year from TPMS. (I’m a current family).
It may be true. Also a current family and the class had Cogat testing for HS and they used Cogat for MS too.

I heard there were about 30 kids from TPMS last year but this is all just gossip. I agree TPMS prepares kids for this program but also I think kids at a magnet are also more interested in applying to a magnet. TPMS is also nearby and I'd wager more kids from TPMS apply than any other school.

It is usually close to half but definitely more than one third.
Pre-lottery
Post-lottery too.
There is an individual (maybe current 6th or 7th grade TPMS parent) who is very motivated to inflate TP matriculations into Blair. I'd be really surprised if more than one third of TP still matriculates to Blair. It should be more or less similar to other high performing middle schools.
TPMS have always sent way more students to Blair than other high performing middle schools.
Well, it is a very strong school.
It has the MS math/science magnet and is near Blair. Makes sense it would attract the same kids.
Geez. Why do you respond to your own response? There is really an obsessive, crazy person here.
NP. I don't understand the accusatory tone from the posts saying someone is trying to inflate TP matriculations to Blair. Why would someone lie? For what purpose? Seems to me it's just a parent who went to an orientation where they heard someone say this and is reporting back. Maybe the administrator who said it was wrong, just rounding very roughly or making generalizations over a longer period. Why are you so fixated on this?

Anonymous wrote:TPMS has been more than sufficiently covered. Thank you. Move on.

I know roughly half come from TPMS magnet that feeds from its local catchment and various other schools.
The only feeder per se is TPMS. Kids are pretty evenly divided by other schools. Some areas tend be more interested than others though.
