Assume for ECNL or highest level team at U16? I'm trying to get a handle on all the pricing of the larger clubs during tryout season. Some are transparent on their websites, others are not.
Arlington is $3k for Academy level teams, including uniforms, not including team fees and non-mandatory uniform (and clearly hotels, etc)
McLean is 3k, not including tournament fees.
I think they are all about the same. Bethesda is $3500 including everything.
This Bethesda quote is club fees + uniforms?
Bethesda uniform kit, including mandatory crocs was almost $700 this year
Is this real or sarcasm?

My U12 son was on a 'Travel' club
The facilities had 4 fields, locker rooms, clubhouse and cafeteria.
We paid €300 for a year and that covered everything including travel for the players.
Kids who couldn't afford paid less or nothing.
It was painful coming home to the States and paying more than that just for uniforms
I’m not sure how this is possible? Are all coaches volunteers? Are facilities and fields free? Is travel/hotels donated?
I’m hoping PP will respond, but as a European, I assume that the clubs are heavily supported by the multiple levels of local and big league teams. These teams sell ticket, and have the love and devotion of their entire country behind them. That’s a lot of power. This power can easily pay for these kids’ development.

It's possible and a reality all over Europe and the world for parents not to pay thousands.
Coaches are paid professionals of different levels of certifications and apprentices working on getting certified
Hotels for families are not free.
Your reaction of disbelief is the same reaction of disbelief when they hear how much we spend here.

Why is it painful? We have a different system here. Someone is paying for it; nothing is free. No club to help cover costs.
Spending much more for less quality is painful no matter how rich you may be

$350 uniforms
$300 “strongly encouraged/expected winter futsol”
$2,000 travel expenses.
So $7,100? And she’s not even on the top team traveling the US. She’s on the second, regional team.
Club?
