I mean, there's a reason 75% of all episodes of "Cops" are filmed in NOLA...

How do you explain the WSJ ranking of 252?
The WSJ rankings are an absolute joke. I guess we're all sending our kids to BYU since they are a T20 now? I mean, why aren't we all talking about ED'ing to BYU since it's a 60% acceptance rate and a T20 school?
But Brown, UCLA, Colby, Johns Hopkins are all outside of the T50 so not to be considered.
Again, looking at a sampling of Tulane peer schools, WSJ has following rankings:
Vanderbilt: 13
Duke: 16
Emory: 42
UNC: 83
UVA: 84
Tulane: 354 (I was wrong at 252)
Again, why is Tulane so much worse than the peer schools? It's not even about being outside the Top 50.

On what basis can you claim Tulane is better regarded academically? Tulane was notorious for gaming the rankings and they were called out big time. Dropped to 70 in USNews and 252 by WSJ.
Only b/c USNews has decided to rank based on DEI and first generation rather than academics. I don't believe their rankings any longer.
That’s only because you don’t like the results. Plenty of Tulane peer schools didn’t tumble at all or not much.

24% admit rate vs 11%? Um, no.
Omg, higher rejection rate does not necessarily equate to “better academics.”
People look for a lot of things in a school- campus life, job and grad school placement, geography, sports, Greek life, parties, gender ratio, cost and aid. Pure academics are probably pretty far down the list.
Not for most parents.

Tulane has a national reputation. It's a well-known school. Everyone's heard of it. No-one outside of VA knows Richmond.
