I travelled a lot in high end places when I was dating someone who made a lot of money. If you haven't done that, or worked in one of these places, it may not resonate as much with you.
Good god you status obsessed strivers are so transparent. Yes, people who don’t “get” your cringy soap opera written by a gay man must be proles who’ve never been anywhere. lol
What does the writer being gay have anything to do with anything? Wut

It’s a slow-paced social satire that asks you to study the human behavior of wealthy people like you might study gorillas or something. I think you’re either fascinated by what Mike White is going for here or you’re not.

Same for me! I think maybe you need to have either worked for or travelled in these rich luxury resort circles in order to get a laugh out of it

It's fair to ask if you should stick with it - but probably not after saying you think it's bad, childish, boring, and only for Gen Z. You're just insulting everyone who likes the show while also waiting for us all to say, "you're so much smarter than we are, you should just go read some shakespeare instead of watching this show we all love because we are mush-brained idiots."
If you don't like a show you don't like a show. I gave up on Shogun halfway through the first ep because I got so disturbed by the torture scene. I know - it's a great show! Andor, too, I just can't get into. But I'm not going to come on here and insult everyone who likes it while demanding they tell me if I should keep going with this beloved property that I can certainly see that a lot of people enjoy a lot more than I do.
It's ok if something is not for you. It doesn't make you better or worse than the people who like it.
You are WAY too triggered. It’s okay to like entertaining garbage, but it’s silly to think that someone else pointing out that it’s garbage is a personal insult. I also gave up on Shogun, because it’s in the same vein as White Lotus - it’s a turd wrapped in shiny gift wrap. Same with Squid Game.
I actually find it disturbing that the general population seems to be losing its collective ability to separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to art.
