Says the delivery guy... That's f'king crazy. I think 20% is MORE than enough.

Cheapskate.

20% is the usual tip. Way more for bad weather!

A bad weather tip is usually at least 50%. A single large pizza from my favorite joint is $22.99. Only tipping 20% for coming out in weather like this is insane... $5? No way! Ordering 1 pizza at $20 should result in at least a $10-12 tip. If you can't do that, go gnaw on some saltines or something.

As long as you tip big it's fine, IMO.

The Domino's near me posted on their Facebook that they have no delivery drivers so all deliveries need to be made through a 3rd party app or picked up in the store.

Today I think it is okay but you should have ordered mid afternoon before it gets dark and freezes. And a big tip.

I’m in Bethesda and the streets are fine. I am sure a delivery person would like the business.

Most streets are plowed. It is ok.
It was so bad one year when the roads weren't even plowed and delivery people couldn't get to the houses so they would call and ask the customer to come meet them at the car down the road because they couldn't just leave their car. People were upset about that.
So, if your street is not plowed, don't expect them to deliver directly. Same thing with a few years ago, the snow was up to 4 feet and people didn't even shovel their driveway or entrance way and expect delivery to show up at their door. Crazy.

A family member who used to deliver pizzas would say not to. They're employed by the pizza store and definitely do not need to be putting wear and tear in their car at best and risking an accident at worst.

If you answered the door in a leg cast and gave 100 percent tip, ok.

Unless this place is right around the courner you are not a nice human.

If you do it they deserve $100 on top of that $25 pizza.

Make grilled cheese op. Jesus entitled much.

If a driver is looking to work, why is it better not to allow him to do so?

Most pizza places have their own drivers. They will be fired if they don't come in. No orders and they get to go home.

I order pizza using door dash.

Please don't. It's not safe for the driver and he probley needs his paid off car more than you.

A lot of the local restaurants I follow are closing because the roads are so bad. I would not order pizza delivery unless you are willing to give a huge, 100% or more tip.
