First time in...ever? that all three have been engaged happily in one activity together. Don't know how long they stayed out but came back in for (instant) hot cocoa and watched a movie together (again, first time ever?). Six year old ended up in my lap next to the fire, took a lil nap, 13 and 10 played video games together. After dinner, I made snow ice cream with them. It was a pretty perfect day, honestly.
I love the idea of snow ice cream! Alas, I live in the city and I know there’s no way that the snow in my backyard is clean, no matter how white it looks.
Apparently it's an Appalachian thing? (According to some social media posts I've seen recently, at least). I grew up making it with my grandparents and cousins, and my grandparents were originally from WVa. Anyway, we put out a few mixing bowls when snow is predicted so we don't have to scrape it off anything that might be dirty.

Snow is disgusting and full of dirt and bacteria even if it looks fresh/clean. 🤢
