You could do circuits of a place like a school carpark that has been cleared of ice.

I’ve really enjoyed the snow! Icy patches different story but I’ve managed to find good routes with mostly cleared or snowy sidewalks. Less icy.
I wear fleece lulu leggings with a deep pocket for my phone - I love these leggings. Smart wool ankle socks, dry wick tank, dry wick long sleeved top, Nike dry wick half zip running top over it all. Gloves.

When do you determine it’s safe to go out after ice/snow like this?

If it feels or the temperature is less than 20 degrees i don't run outside. It's all in what you wear. I also run on the road in neighborhood streets.

I have yaktrax but My issue is half the sidewalks are clear and the other half have ice. They’re great in ice but it’s a rough run on cleared sidewalk.
