Why? A lot of places in NJ and NY do it.


Just sort of a gut check - a club would then draw more kids early on away from other teams as part of their tier 2 program (which is also a mine let for the organization) and then could give those kids preference for their tier 1 program. But, maybe that type of thing isn't a concern in youth hockey...

Yes, two St Alban's families owned WLC, not ION. Same thing at Medstar. Beth Lenz, Jablonic, and others had an interest in WLC. Medstar did not own though. When did CBHL change rules allowing rink owned teams?
