Yes, in a defamation case, the burden of proof is on the plaintiff. If a woman brings an actual cause of action in court stating that a man assaulted her, then she as the plaintiff would have the burden of proof. I'm in a few of these groups, and there are many instances where someone is about to meet a guy for the first time and posts him. Then it's discovered that he's either married, a guy with a long arrest record, or something else pretty sinister. The group is great for uncovering stuff like that and has definitely saved women from meeting dangerous men. And some men really are dangerous. Unfortunately, there is also plenty of man-bashing and ridiculous stuff in there too, but that's not the intent of the groups.
