They do have a few kids drop out from the IB track. I think two switched to AP this year. It is an intense program that requires an additional class before and after school.

Many people that could move to the J-R zone often have better options. We would have certainly considered J-R if we already lived in upper NW, but we don’t see J-R as a pull factor reason to move there. So we continue to live in NE and send our kids to a private middle school and likely HS, though will of course consider SWW and (gasp!) even Banneker.
