Why? If your child is at a conservatory, then it doesn't appear to have mattered?


Because DC felt they had to work much harder in HS to “catch up” and, more importantly, developed some technical issues that took years to correct. Again, DC is the one laments when we made the move. At the time, we felt staying with a kind local teacher was fine. And yes, in the end it all worked out but we probably could have eased the way a little sooner if we’d known more.
