Solar is in a different position. Players literally move there from all over the country because they are so well known and connected. My dog could coach their team and have success because the players are all spectacular and doing all kinds of training on their own. Screaming does nothing to help those players.

There are coaches who yell to get attention of the players or trying to make them better with their knowledge and passion of the game.

There are coaches who berate the player and screaming and yelling just because.

You have to be able to separate the 2. I don’t mind those who yell at my kid when she messes up or expecting more or challenging her. U have to be able to separate the message and the tone.

If you and your kid never wants to get yell at and want coach to only speak to you nicely, elite level of any sport isn’t a place for you. People will walk away from the same coach with different experience.

I was just getting ready to say the same about DS’s HS coach. It’s shameful that he gets to keep his job. It’s no secret how he yells at and berates his players, even resorting to name calling. The AD has witnessed it. The only option is for players to quit. I know mine is strongly considering not returning.
