Sounds like she made the right choice. Dogs love unconditional. You aren’t good enough to have a dog.

while i dont disagree with the general sentiment, asking your gf to choose between you and a pet dog is crazy behavior.

A smelly and even badly behaved dog is 100x better companion than most humans men - men are very typically smelly, badly behaved and untrainable. At least a dog won’t give you an STD or screw one of your friends or ruin your credit (not without your knowledge, anyway) or any number of other ugly things that men too frequently do.

I am like you...I don't want to live with animals. I never dated a man who had a dog. This should not have lasted past a 2nd date.
