They can and do impose limits. These are private schools. They enforce it by not releasing transcripts to additional schools beyond the limit they set. Well I guess it’s great your kid attends a school that only “allows” them to choose from 10 schools for their future.

Exactly. So many schools have either ED or RD, and that's it.


This is just telling us your kid isn't applying to top schools without saying it. (Top privates don't allow EAs at other privates so the max is one private along with publics that have EA rather than ED.)

15-20 is the norm at my daughter’s school. And yes, so much work I feel like I haven’t seen her since July.

0, thankful ED was a yes.
She had submitted 2 rolling, 3 EA & 1 ED by Nov. 1.

Otherwise, would have had 4-5 more due now.

Submitted the final 2. Now we wait. Thinking of switching a deferral from EA to ED2, but really like the last 2 RDs. If ED2 came through, the last 2 RDs will be wasted efforts ... But all very slim long shots anyway. Glad to have a rolling admit already.

Last 3 submitted on Sunday and we went out for ice cream to celebrate. 8 total apps. Whew. My kid worked hard— spent too much time on essays, really, but I am proud of all the work he put in. No idea how it will all work out, but any college would be very lucky to have him.
