Subject: Do adult women use hair accessories anymore?
Claw clips and banana clips are everywhere - so are bows but that's only cute on my teenage daughter. I use claw clips to pull my hair up when I want it off my face - I am not wearing it for aesthetics but I don't think it looks terrible.

My friend wears dainty clips in her curly hair. It looks great. My hair can't tolerate clips, but I own an enormous quantity of scrunchies (silk, satin, kimono patterns, velvet, etc) and thin fabric-covered headbands that I use daily.
In general, the trend for men and women is utilitarian and has been for years. It's sad.

I wear clips when I don't want to tuck my hair behind my ears. It keeps it from getting that "dent" in the front.

So ... those of y'all wearing headbands...
Does it not slip ofd your head every two minutes? Like fall forward or backward? I like the look of them, but for me most of the point is to get my hair off my face, because that is annoying, but I just end up even more annoyed because I have a headband that keeps slipping around.

I did go to a craft fair and there was a vendor there from a franchise company selling hair clips at a brisk rate.
I do see hair clips being worn by women who both need them and take obvious pride in having a stylish hairdo.
I also see bun skewers (not sure what they are called...the hatpin/chopstick type sticks).
Think they are called hair sticks

50+ and I wear whatever I want. I find it really surprising that people think it is immature to use hair accessories (that adults don’t wear hair accessories).
I’m not a big fan of headbands, but I’ll wear an embellished one now and then for fun.

I use hidden ties and pins for buns. Sometimes a plain tie for a low ponytail. Nothing decorative. Tried putting just the top half back on a recent bad hair day, but felt like I was back in high school so it came down.
I’d love to see photos of more mature (50+ plus) examples of how people do this well with longer hair.

Can someone post images or links to the clips/barrettes they use? I have curly hair that is more wavy in the front so I like to at least pull that back.

I almost always wear my hair back. Either low ponytail with a band with tortoiseshell cover, or quasi french twist using claw clip, or various barettes to pull the front back.
