And that’s how it happens. Almost imperceptibly at first, in a lot of disassociated businesses, all during a short time. And no one is paying attention at first because everyone is still talking about it being the place to be. Then before you know it a year has gone by and suddenly you realize you’ve got dozens of shuttered first floor retail and resturant spaces. And then people start moving out or not renewing leases.


This will also happen to CityCenterDC.

This seems a bit bleaker than is really justified. The downturn on some of these metrics dates back all of two or three years. What makes you think it's permanent>
