Every year my mom would come down one day in February or March and announce that she found a Christmas present under her bed, in the hall closet, in the attic, etc. usually wrapped. Sometimes it was missing a tag and she would ponder who it might have been for. We always had fun with the “forgotten gift”.
Roll with it, OP.

So fun. I haven’t received an actual gift in years.
It was so fun today when she not only did this, but asked me to remind her what she lost-gave me-will never give me, because she forgot what this fictional item even is.

I’ve had so much going on that I started shopping early, I know I moved them at one point (big mistake) and wrapped two early as well (another big mistake) They are small items so that makes looking for them more difficult. I’m so sad thinking I accidentally threw them out. And they were expensive too. Kids are older so won’t be up for at least another 30 mins and I asked DH to go look in the trash. He said he needed 10 more minutes of sleep.

just rewrap it and tell your kid to be more careful about what he tears into.Anonymous wrote:I did that last year. Some of the missing stuff turned up in time for birthdays.
And well this year DS2 woke up at dawn and opened the wrong Lego set so now I don’t have anything for their cousin when he comes over
