My friend almost went blind from a contact lens eye infection.

She is a very, very responsible person and follows all cleaning instructions.

The infection progressed really really really fast.

Well for many of us it’s not practical to remove contacts before showering or swimming — that’s how I see!

I’ve reused dailies before and nothing happened. I also have been swimming with contacts and reused them and nothing happened. I found out this year after 3 decades of contact use that you are not supposed to swim or shower with contacts in because there is some crazy protozoal parasite which can cause blindness. Even after knowing this, sometimes I just roll the dice.

As far as risk of infection goes, if you just reuse them for 1 day, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Just clean them.

I've reused dailies for years and years and years with zero problems. I usually only buy 1 3 month pack to.last me the entire year because I can get away with wearing them for 3 days each.

No, you definitely do NOT sleep in them..I don't understand why would you ever get an infection unless you're not cleaning them every night just like you would for extended wear contacts. Don't use just saline, use the cleaning solutions.
