The collectible she tried to buy but couldn’t will be a winner despite the no gift rule. Just tell her you knew she loved it, was disappointed in not getting it and you found it for her and got it despite the rule. Trust me, she will be putty in your hands for at least 24-48 hours. Some rules are made to be broken.

Women here. You're a smart man. I would love it if my husband still got me something for Christmas even though we'd agreed no gifts. And I wouldn't feel bad that I hadn't gotten him anything because gifts are not as important to him and anyway that was our agreement. Don't tell her in advance; that'll only fill her with stress to have to go out at the last minute and find something for you. Of course, this assumes YOU'RE not going to be hurt that she didn't get you anything. Hopefully you won't. In your wife's shoes, I would just make sure to take good care of you in the bedroom that night.
