Just last week I picked up a Patagonia Synchilla Snap-T pullover in a really cool print for $12.99. I very rarely see Patagonia at my thrifts so this really felt like the find of a lifetime.

Everything my family owns is from thrifting. I could write a novel. My personal favorites for me are:

Aquatalia moto boots $8
MaxMara wool coat $12
Tory Burch pebbled leather work bag $6
Jeans- Reformation, FRAME, Good American, and Madewell $5-7 each.

My kids really only wear Crew Cuts, Hanna Andersson, and Mini Boden all thrifted.

90% of our furniture is thrifted.

My latest is a jacket by Bonnie Cashin, tweed with leather trim and dog leash clip. In a great shape too. Yesterday I saw a DVF silk blouse (the colors didn’t work for me) and a men’s Etro shirt.

For those concerned about bed bugs - some things can’t go in the dryer, but they can go in the freezer. That works too for shoes and bags.

Four beautiful kitchen table chairs for $20. We needed to replace ours and furniture was marked down. Plus it was at a thrift shop that benefits animals so I wouldn't have minded paying more. I shop there regularly knowing I'm helping the dogs and cats they're trying to find homes for.

LOL....because eye-opening to me is probably way below what it might be to thee; I'm not in NoVA and grew up, well, going to yard sales for clothes and household items. But I'll dish and go with the lower amount of $2200 (and that was decades ago). Not a bad ROI for a $1 purchase. Regardless, it's more about the sentiment than the value. Every time I look at our wedding photos, I'm reminded you can find things....and people (like my DH) that are the real deal.

Thanks, though. It's a fun and true story to tell. And, yes, I'll try to find way to let the girls breathe.

Prada suit for $30 that fit me perfectly without any alterations. Quite a few pieces of Franciscan china in the Starburst pattern I collect. for a couple of dollars each. (eBay would like a word). A crystal vase, never used, with box, for $7.

All from a thrift shop benefiting cat rescue causes. Staffed by sweet volunteer ladies who apparently know very little about the values of anything. I have donated to the cats privately though.
