And that's part of the reason why retailers love them.

Most of them have outstanding balances that expire.

Or, you come in with a 25 dollar GC but end up spending 30 dollars.

This is super cute and not weird coming from a boy, unlike some of these other suggestions (Sephora, Ulta etc) also like Target + candy.

It’s fortunate this gift isn’t for you then, isn’t it.

I prefer giving real gifts to gift cards, but I also remember being a teen with limited funds and really loving getting them. Go with the gift card.

It would have felt so weird to be as a teen to get a gift of make up or skin care store gift card from a boy. Did he notice my zit?

I vote for something more neutral like Target. She can still use it on makeup or skin care if she wants.
