There is a space for everyone in life. Whether it's sports, theater, gardening, gaming, or even D&D. I know lots of people who are/were very into D&D, men and women. All are "normal", functioning people. And they are a whole lot more fun and imaginative than people like you.

My 40-something DH regularly plays D&D, as do many of my good friends’ husbands. (yes - we’re all pretty nerdy.)
DH is smart and funny - he’s a good husband, a loving dad, a fabulous cook, and earns pretty decent $ in his day job. I lucked out. The other D&D playing DHs also all seem pretty great too.

I never played it, but two of my high school friends did, and they played it well into college. One is in a leadership role of the San Diego Zoo, and the other graduated from the Naval Academy and now works at NASA. Both are married and have children and seem really happy.
