About 12 K for a house in siesta key for a week and flights out Chicago. Any other ideas for where we could go for this amount of money that would ideally be warm?

Next year book earlier, way earlier. It’s a huge part of your issue. We booked spring break this past summer and always do. Stay in a hotel instead of a house or stay a few blocks off the beach. Also consider cruising. Even spring break week would be way less than $12k even with flights (as long as you don’t do Disney.)

Cruising can be cheaper.

But flights were already expensive this summer.

We got nonstop DCA to PHX for $400RT.

Most people are aiming for the Caribbean, CA, or Europe for spring break…not phoenix.

MOST people are not going on spring break because they have to work.

My kids are 9 and 12. We have never traveled for spring break. 12k? We never will. That is CRAZY.

Weather Underground has a very cool "history" option for a location. You can check the weather for a given day, week or month multiple years into the past. I looked for Scottsdale, AZ,and every day except 2 in April 2023 the high was above 80.

FYI-You sound out of touch with “most people” in this country.

It’s DCUM, would you expect less?
