That's cute! I like nicknames like that. I wouldn't name a child Fig, though.

Olive, Cerise, and Clementine are legit names, I like them both (yes an olive is a fruit).

I think Cherry and Plum are okay, could work for the right family. Agree Plum just sounds British and if you aren't British, it will sound very try hard. Huckleberry for a boy could work (again, for the right family) because of the literary reference. When book/movie characters legitimize names, it helps.

Similar thing might happen with Apple because of GOOP's kid, especially if she starts acting or modeling. Maybe less so if she just becomes an influencer, which is more likely.

Pepper could work (Pepper Potts, speaking of GOOP) but I tend to think it should be a nickname only.

Persimmon could work if you wanted a Percy and didn't want to do Percival. I don't like it but I wouldn't laugh at you.

Names I'd legitimately laugh at: Lemon, Banana, Peach, Pear, Orange, Star Fruit, Boysenberry, Blackberry, Mango, Lychee, etc. etc.

I worked with a woman named Peachy and she was a delight but I'm 99.97% sure that that was a nickname.

Fruit nicknames > fruit given names.

No, it isn't. Lemon is not even a good name for a pet, let alone a human child.

I had a friend in college named Per -- it's Scandanavian -- so "Pear" actually sounds sorta normal to me.
