I’ve had this since I was a kid. I always thought it was partly due to social anxiety. I have no idea though as I’m smart and a good writer (as someone else said above).

I have actually used chat GPT to fill in the blank. Just tell it you can’t think of the word and give it the sentence with a blank. It works great. Someone probably needs to make an app for this. Call it something clever.

Mine was getting really bad while going through menopause. Grasping for words while giving presentations. It did go away. A friend of mine said that hormone replacement therapy helped her.
