At a school with snob appeal, students wouldn’t be deterred by required classes, even if they included classical languages or ancient philosophy.

Brown, Dartmouth, USC and NYU are favorite destinations of kids of super wealthy Indians.

I agree.
But irrelevant unless we’re talking about ambani type billionaires. Your average rich Desi biglaw partner / doctor earning $3 million a year is not the right demographic.

Jaysus, OP. Would you just shut up with your ridiculous class anxiety and live your life? This is not Britain; the state of your driveway (graveled vs. paved) does not determine your life's trajectory and overall value as a human being.

OP just wants someone to list the school where her kid got accepted so she can have a hard on

You never know snob school grad is a trust fund kid or financial aid beneficiary.

If snob appeal is a factor for someone, higher education is a waste of tome for them. Just join a country club.

Honestly, If you really want to go for old money snob appeal — its the prep schools that really matter. I’m not saying that college doesn’t matter, just that when it comes to identity and family connections, the prep schools matter more.

Think Eton.
