Good point. I always forget those Catholic and Christian schools exist.

At the $$$ independent lower schools, the vast majority of kids did half-day pre-K and came home to a SAHM or nanny. A few of the relatively lower income families had an au pair.

When my oldest was in prekindergarten, I couldn’t remember the names of the schools in our pyramid. I just knew that I liked the schools when I investigated them. Fixed that when he entered kindergarten.

I wasn’t 100 percent sure at that age — we had planned on sending him to our parish Catholic school though.

I think that PP is suggesting that private-school families would us a nanny? Nonetheless, a totally asinine comment.

Not all private schools are the same. Pp is implying that a rich person would probably have had a nanny and gone to a fancy nursery school. My daughter went to one of these, only because it was very close to our house. Most people sent their kids to private. We were one of few who went public despite many people living in the neighborhood.
