Seem like at least they know how to place kids.
Why not Union or vda then?
Or Loudon/NVA?
Realistically, these clubs are all the same. Just go where your kid is enjoying it and developing.
OP was talking college placement. Loudoun is nowhere FCV, vda, Union in college placement.
NVA - Wake Forest, Ohio State, Michigan State, LSU, Penn State, etc.
Recruited walk on slots are nothing to get too excited about.
Yep even the non walk ons as freshmen will be lucky to get a few minutes in garage time. Also the well know D1 schools are recruiting All ECNL type players. Overall very few players from the area get in to a top 100 school let alone a top 20 school. Even if your kid is an all star better have a plan B.
To PP -- sure you can get excited about being recruited. Not sure why you think not. Yes the top D1 schools recruiting top talent. But the DMV has a number to the top programs. Also top D3 programs which for a lot of girls is the goal.

It's mainly this. 08s have large percentage of team in private schools, so two games during the week and one to two games on a weekend (especially away games) plus trying to juggle the additional academic load that comes sophomore year. They've also had key injuries at critical positions that they are working through. Time will tell. Private high school season is over. The ARL 08s had a strong showing at the PDA friendlies. If they continue to play strong through the next few games, it was fatigue. I don't think the team and parents are pushing any panic buttons though...

Hard to find “developing” club around here

I find it funny how you say FCV held their own in a 0-2 loss while VDA just lost 0-2. They both lost. You would have to watch the game to consider if one team "held their own" in the same loosing score.
If you know about the 09 FCV team, you know that they aren’t known to be a good team and VDA is a very good team so I think held their own is perfectly fine. VDA ranked #23 and FCV ranked #53. Also consider they are GA which is not as strong.
