First of all, no professional setting should be guessing sizes.

My DH works for a big company and they have a profile where they put in their size preferences. Whenever anything is ordered (sometimes planned, sometimes surprises) they come in THAT size. You can change it at any time.

It's bizarre to just guess sizes of employees without asking, and it's bizarre to knowingly omit certain employees. Especially if the sizes are too large...anyone can wear a larger size. Or give it away. Or...it doesn't matter. It's unfair to not give to certain people.

Did you not get it due to being last to pick it up, or because they were like "Larla, you're too small for this, sorry."

I'd say "Hey, I didn't get a company jacket. How do I get one?"

Also agree with this. I’ve lost 60 lbs (with more to go) but my company did this all the time and got me a women’s XL when I needed a 3x. I just never wore it and no one said anything. It wasn’t anything nice though, just a t-shirt. It did kind of irritate me, but not enough to have to share my size with anyone. Even losing 60 lbs I probably still am not a women’s xl

This exact situation has been addressed in Ask A Manager at least twice thot I recall.

Why is it a lawsuit? Weight is not a protected class. Maybe if they had ordered the men's jackets in a wider variety of sizes, but they didn't.

They errored on the size of smallness. Most adult women don't wear a Small. And what man past high school wears a Medium? You'd have to be pretty short and slim.

Because 5 people wear a bigger size than men’s large. What is confusing to you?
