The only thing that makes me think this is a troll is that she says she is commuting 90 minutes to a cafe. That doesn't seem terribly believable. ie that would be like someone in Montgomery County getting a job at a sandwich shop in Richmond.... as opposed to the other 80 billion places closer to them. Not very believable.
The DD might not drive, so the cafe may be an hour and a half away by public transportation

My daughter has been in a job for a little over a year and a half. A whole lot what expected of her for very little pay, and the owner seems to believe that my daughter had the same level of responsibility as her. I’ve been encouraging her to quit since the spring. She’s finally decided to quit after the pressure and hours became too much. We had the dollar to bullshit ratio conversation, where I reminded her that acting as an owner should earn her more than $14/hr.

OP, you have no right to take anything away from your DC that which helps your DC - whether or no tyou think it is "prestigious". Let go of that pretense, let your DC live.
