OP here. I’m feeling these responses…sports, learning to drive, trying to engage in meaningful extracurriculars…plus rigorous APs. It’s a lot. I really appreciate everyone’s insights about staying organized senior year and doing essays over the summer.

I also have to do a +1 to the PP whose DD procrastinates. Same issue here. My daughter just wants to watch a show or facetime with friends, and is struggling with how school work is demanding every inch of time.

My DD is stressed. She mainly deals by procrastinating.

Op- came back to say the subject was meant to say "dealing with apps", not dating apps. Apps=college applications .

I told my Senior in August that it's just a 3-month push and once he finishes Finals in Dec/submits final apps--he can go have a lot of fun and breathe easy. He's a straight A student and I told him not to stress or kill himself spring of Senior year. Have some fun! (and yes he knows that doesn't mean tanking grades due to revoking acceptances--but a B here or there isn't going to matter).

After the 11/1--even though he probably has about 5-6 RD applications its pretty calm. The hard work was done. The supplemental questions for all the others is just a variation of questions he previously answered so just minor adjustments.

As I told my daughter last night when I was picking her up at school at 8:00 pm, your junior year sucks. Harder courses, more homework, SATs, ECS, learning to drive, etc., are a lot of responsibilities to take on but this emblematic of the challenges of getting older.

After watching my older son - my rising Junior will not start Jr year with a HS sport AND his club team. Junior is a tough course load -balancing sophomore year this fall was tough enough.

He said he will just do travel club team. The HS program/team is a mess anyways.
