I think you should do early December or first weekend of January.

My good friend has a December 21 birthday and she said she got screwed every year because of the holidays. Her gifts were also rolled up into a Xmas gift.

You should pick a different date. That is going to be tough for a lot of people. Even if they are in ton, grandparents or other family members might be visiting.

We are rarely around that week. If we were around, we'd love to have an activity like a party.

No, absolutely not. I have a child with a Christmas birthday. Don't do it.

We are home during that time and we would go.

We would not. We prioritize Christmas Day at home and leave to visit family out of state on the morning of 12/26 each year.

I host my daughter's bday party almost every year over winter break - because that is when her actual bday is and it just ends up working out best for me to do it then too. Almost everyone is in town to attend every year. I guess that's our group of friends - you might want to poll a few of her closest friends before deciding.

No, we are out of town that week. My kid has a mid December bday, we are doing something small in early December and then we will probably do a half bday in early June, like we did last year, when we can be outside, at a park or something fun.

That's tough, but we usually have a good turnout the following weekend. First week of Jan.

No. Maybe try the day before school re-starts, folks might be back then. If it’s a drop off party, even better, as we can go to the store or do errands.

Nope, we travel that week, as do most of our kids' friends. But one of mine has an early January birthday and the first weekend in January after NYE always has great attendance. It's cold and dark and everyone's back in town.

This year we will be away for all of winter break, so we wouldn’t attend

We stay in town that week but almost none of my kids' friends are around.
