Oh and travel soccer is not a scam?
It is, but travel soccer doesn't force you to buy $250 worth of merchandise for five days of use.
Oh, I must be a horrible soccer mom then, since I thought my 11 year old daughter could proudly wear official AC Milan jerseys, shorts, and socks like Christian Pulisic. I would hate for anyone seeing my daughter wear the same team jersey that the captain and star of the US National Men's Soccer team wears. I had no idea these were throw away, one time use jerseys, shorts, socks, and gymbag. They also have clearly stated you wear the same clothes for the academy.

That says to me they can't qualify for county field permits, so where is their Academy going to be permanently located? Mailing address in Vienna. We all know there is NO field space without building your own somewhere.
I thought the same thing until my hubby told me there is a connection with Mason and the current captain and star of the US Men's National team, Christian Pulisic. His dad and uncle both played soccer at Mason and so did his mom. His dad is even in the Mason Men's Soccer Hall of Fame. Captain America plays for AC Milan, of course. I found out their address is same building as Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, so it's not a mailbox address.

I'm sorry, where on the website does it say they are looking for the best talent? It is very clear from the website what they are offering and how much it costs. You are free to do it or not. Why is that a scam?
It makes sense that part of the reason AC Milan signed Pulisic is to be able to market him in the US for these camps and programs. Good business. Why not use the most popular US player to help market your brand?
I'm so tired of people saying anything that costs more money than they are willing to spend is somehow a scam. There are so many things that cost a lot of money. Is a trip to Disney a scam? Summer camps? Taylor Swift concerts? NFL games? These things all cost a lot of money but people do them because they enjoy it. They are all up front about what you get and how much it costs. Just because you don't want or can't afford them doesn't make them a scam.
No camp in the world charges $250 for apparel and a "gym sac" for five evenings of soccer. Show me another. It's a scam run by a local lawyer. Sorry if the PSA offended you.

Yet another European club attempting to cash in on the American youth soccer market.
Can't blame them.
People are spending $750 for 4 day 'overnight' summer camps all around the DMV. Glorified baby-sitting.
I'm really tired of these posters who act like every soccer related activity has to be in furtherance of some endgame. How about overnight soccer camp can be fun and rewarding even if kids don't become pros because of it? Lots of folks also spend $1K for 5 nights of outdoor camp without thinking their kid is the next Bear Grylls. (This comment is referring to soccer summer camps and does not state an opinion on AC Milan Virginia)
$750 for 4 days?

True. It's a free country for people to do whatever they want to do with their money.
