I have very long wavy hair. I wash it once a week or twice a week, blow it dry with a round brush blow drier thing, and sleep with it in a loose braid on silk pillowcases. Aside from the times that I wash/dry it, I don't brush it or put any product in it. I've been lucky with my hair. I have a flat chest and huge thighs though. We can't all have everything lol.

Not OP but how do you wash your pillowcase? I have allergies and am supposed to wash and dry my linens on hot. The silk pillowcases I have seen say you have to wash them in cold and line dry.

I was my silk pillowcases by hand. Same with all my silk and cashmere clothing, which is pretty much everything I wear apart from jeans.

It seems harder maintaining and embracing curls than just straightening hair or curling it daily with a curling iron/flat iron.

Soundly. I am over having perfect waves/curls and got a cut that looks great without a lot of definition (shag). I wash my hair once a week and only have shiny perfect waves the first day. I usually brush my hair out in the morning, spray with a little water for hydration, add Verb ghost oil for softness, and scrunch it up a little bit. If it’s getting flat on top I add some kind of texturing grit to boost.

I braid it or twist it — so that it doesn’t tangle. If I’m doing it as a set for a twist out style, I’ll twist it when it’s damp, using leave-in conditioner, and use a scarf or a bonnet.
