In this case, it's good advice I think to look at what's happening in the world right now -- you can't miss it -- and realize you have it better than most people. The world is not DCUM. I can feel my insides cringing when people say practice gratitude for what you take for granted, but it has helped me a whole lot. People in Europe and Asia (Japan) and all over the world really live in small apartments and that's just life. They make it work and they can even make it fun and ideal.

Finally someone gets it. Never ever compare yourself to someone else. There is no such thing as a loser. You are unique in your own way. A walking talking miracle. You just need to love yourself not things. It's not what you don't have, it's what you do have.
Change your thought process. Concentrate on your family life. That is real. The outside world isn't.

I'd focus on the things that you can control. I started my health journey by making a 30 day plan to drink water the first thing in the am. That meant setting an intention so I'd have to fill and put the water bottle next to my bed the night before. Can you turn electronics off by a certain time the night before so you sleep better? if you sleep better you'll feel better. Then you'll probably present yourself to the world better.
Do things like make the bed every day, keep your home organized and designate a cleaning time for everyone in the household to help with - such as 10am Sunday morning everyone cleans and prep for the week. I find making meal plan for the week prevents me from eating the wrong things.
There's a need for competent people in the workplace - there is a big connection between getting the big things and little things right.
There are so many free resources right now. Do you listen to the Mel Robbins podcast? She swears by the 5-4-3-2-1 method. You can get that as a library book.
