That’s a description of multiple crimes being committed with the proximate cause the hospital that released them on the street.

Sitting in the middle of the street must be political protest. What else could it be? If the hospital released him, he must be sane and rational and not a danger to himself or others.

One of the things they are being accused of is a really shoddy discharge process..just dumping people in the street basically, failing on the police supervision if needed etc. The discharge is where a lot of the problems happen out in the neighborhood.

I’m going to guess that the victim made the dumb mistake of getting on a bus with someone who was just released from PIW or staying at the Idaho Ave shelter.

Matt Frumin needs to make it a priority to get PIA out of its current location near any number of schools. Ideally PIA should relocate inside the fenced compound of the DC jail. It’s unconscionable that DC houses violent, psychotic offenders in a facility with barely any security.

But then we would lose the naked guy in the middle of Wisconsin Ave. Local color!

I really wish people would call 311 when they see someone who is 'off'. So many are chronic homeless, substance, mentally ill... And yes, they attack and kill. If your instinct is to get away, call in a wellness check once you are in safety.

That's singling out people of certain races. How would you like to have police called on you every time you ride the bus, just because you are neurodiverse?

If it's scary enough to get off the bus early, that's exactly when you should call. Plenty of neurodiverse people who are not scary. And not sure what this has to do with race, but you do you.
