Middle school and high school will just skip over that day. They won't change the A/B calendar. It could mess up teachers' planning for that time of year.

Is there really a need to call off school?
The Ds already have their candidate, which means most of the voters in Ffx won't be voting. It ses like there is no need to call off school.
Republicans are still having a primary.
And Dems might. Depends on if Marianna qualified in Virginia.
And Dems can vote in the Republican primary, correct since we don’t register by party in VA?
Correct. I’m voting but submitting a blank ballot.
I am thinking about voting so a vote can go to someone other than the current GOP front runner.
Do know that if you vote in this you will have it marked on your voter record as having voted in a GOP primary. You may start getting more Republican mail and solicitations.

True, but they can always revert to hours, or get the state to approve an exception.
This exactly. How can they legally do this?

Because with Trump on the ballot, there was genuine concern about violence at polling places. I had MSs then, and there was discussion of white supremacies “monitoring,” voting etc. they cancelled late, but parents had legit concerns because no one knew how having Trump on the ballot would play out. .
Trump is still on the ballot.
This sounds more like 2020.

Teacher here I won't be at school any extra days beyond my contract-but good luck with your petty nonsense.
