Also - this test says my 3rd grader will get tutoring in both math and english. I am not surprised with the English but he was testing ahead in math last summer. I know for 3rd grade it tests them on end of the yr 3rd grade content so I imagine it is not that surprising that they don't know stuff they haven't learned yet.

Can you link it? I just read the page and don't see anything helpful.
I'm not sure if this is what PP was referring to, but there are parent guides on this page https://www.doe.virginia.gov/teaching-learning-assessment/student-assessment/parent-caregiver-resources-for-growth-assessments
Does anyone else have a 3rd grader? Does the cut of for receiving tutoring (1477 and below for math, 1550 and below for reading) seem kind of high considering they were taking a test with 3rd grade information that they haven't learned yet? https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/50417
I have a 3rd grader and this does seem weird. Teacher told us that the kid was in the 92nd percentile for math, but the cut off for tutoring is only 1 point below her score. How can that be right?
