Gun violence in Texas is way higher than in DC, per capita.
Texas ranks 26th in gun violence per capital. MD and VA are 33 and 34. It’s not that different.

I got a job offer there 8 months ago and worked with a realtor. Turned it down because a similarly-sized house (especially with no basements, many areas no attached garage either) with a similarly-rated school district had me paying over $2k more in mortgage/property taxes. If you think Texas is an affordable haven you haven’t been in the real world for quite some time, sweetheart.

Do Democrats realize that states like Texas need more Democrats to move to them if there is ever going to be a chance of turning them blue? I get that you're just expressing your own opinion, but hopefully other Democrats are more open minded about possible places to live.
Texas is getting closer and closer to that without my personal involvement, thanks.

I lived in Dallas twice in my tweens/teens and I didn’t like it then when I was clueless about politics etc. DC is a cesspool of politics and people sucking the tits of the government but it actually has some culture and historic value. This is not where I will live long term but it beats Dallas.
