There are plenty of federal jobs where the equivalent job in the private sector often earns tips.

- Obviously, the most numerous: federal employees who work in food service - baristas, servers, food and beverage attendants, cooks, bartenders
- Federal employees who provide one on one transport to specific populations similar to a taxi or Uber
- Federal employees in visitor services who provide education/give tours at federal parks and attractions
- Federal employees who provide childcare
- Federal employees who provide massage as a healthcare service
- Federal employees who work in hotel customer service or hotel housekeeping

Everyone is tipped now.

We get takeout food and the card payment device asks whether we want to tip 10% or 15% or 20%.

Is it just me, or aren’t n;t we on the downward slope with inflation (for groceries, at least)? These last few weeks, I’ve spent far less than before. Eggs are back to $2.65/18 pack at Wegman’s.
